For many centuries the breathtaking Perigord scenery has
inspired artists from across the world with its narrow streets, medieval castles and beautiful countryside. We continue this tradition with our art course holidays at La
Borie du Four through our artist in residence Mike Walsh and special guest tutors including
Alan Brain, Keith Fenwick and Frank Halliday.
Within the relaxed atmosphere of our gite and its inspirational
surroundings set between the Dordogne and Lot rivers, you can take the time to appreciate and
reflect upon the details around you and before committing
them to canvas in your very own special way. There is no pressure or
rush to create great works of art, but all of our clients report significant
improvements in their knowledge and technique and take home paintings that
they are proud to display.
Throughout the Spring and Autumn we offer a number of courses for all levels
of artist – from complete beginner to experienced painters –
and provide coaching and encouragement from a range of experienced and renowned
artists covering a number of style genres.

leisure or professional artist or have hardly painted at all, we can accommodate your needs, style and
